Keep Preaching On

Dear precious servant of God,

If you’ve found your way to these words, I believe it’s no coincidence. Whether you’re standing at the threshold of ministry, feeling called but afraid to take that first step, or you’re a seasoned minister weathering a storm of discouragement, know this: God has not forgotten you, and your assignment is still valid.

To Those Who Feel Called But Afraid

I understand the trembling in your heart. The weight of responsibility feels overwhelming, doesn’t it? You wonder if you’re truly equipped, if your voice matters, if God could really use someone like you. Let me share something that might surprise youโ€”these feelings don’t disqualify you; they position you perfectly for God’s grace to shine through your weakness.

When God called Jeremiah, He didn’t wait for him to feel ready. When He commissioned Moses, the great deliverer protested his inadequacy. Even the Apostle Paul admitted to preaching “in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling” (1 Corinthians 2:3). Your hesitation is not a sign of unreadinessโ€”it’s evidence of your reverence for the sacred calling upon your life.

The world needs your unique voice. The congregation waiting for your ministry, the souls crying out for hope, the broken hearts seeking healingโ€”they need exactly what God has placed within you. Not a perfect version of you, but the authentic, surrendered you.

To Those Who Feel Discouraged

I see you there, battle-weary and wondering if it’s all worth it. The criticism has been sharp, the results seem minimal, and the fire that once burned so brightly feels like mere embers now. You’ve given your best years, poured out your heart, and sometimes it feels like you’re speaking to empty air.

But let me remind you of something crucial: your faithfulness has not gone unnoticed. Every sermon preached in an empty sanctuary, every prayer offered in the midnight hour, every word of comfort spoken to a broken heartโ€”these are treasures in heaven’s account. You may not see the full harvest, but seeds you planted years ago are still growing, still bringing forth fruit in ways you may never know this side of eternity.

Moses never saw the Promised Land, but his leadership brought a nation to its borders. Samuel never saw all the effects of his faithful service, but he raised up kings. Your labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).

The Truth We All Need to Remember

Ministry was never meant to be easy, but it was always meant to be worthwhile. The One who called you is faithful, and He who began a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6). Every discouraging voice that whispers “quit” is drowned out by the voice of the Father who says, “Well done, faithful servantโ€”keep going.

Your calling isn’t dependent on perfect circumstances, overwhelming success, or constant affirmation. It rests on the unchanging character of God who has placed His word in your mouth and His love in your heart.

An Invitation to Press Forward Together

As someone who has walked this path, teaching and training ministers, I want you to know that you don’t have to journey alone. The challenges you’re facingโ€”whether theological questions, practical ministry skills, or personal spiritual growthโ€”these are not unique to you, and they’re not insurmountable.

At Bible Teachers Academy, we’ve created a space where ministers can be equipped, encouraged, and empowered. Whether you need training in Christian Doctrine, deeper understanding of Biblical truth, or practical skills in pastoral counseling, we’re here to serve you as you serve others.

Trust me, I know how it feelsโ€”the uncertainty, the questions, the desperate need for mentorship and practical guidance. That’s why my heart is so deeply committed to serving those called into ministry. I believe God has given me a specific mandate to train and strengthen His servants, to help you “rightly divide the word of truth” and walk confidently in your calling. Here is a song I made for you. Listen and be blessed!
